Consultation Fees

Dr. Penelope Aligiannis does not bulk bill. This means that there will be a private fee associated with all consultations, which includes not only standard appointments but also recall appointments, telephone consultations, prescription renewals, and referrals.

It is important to note that fees are subject to change, and they are based on the actual time spent with Dr. Aligiannis and/or the nursing staff, rather than the duration for which an appointment is booked. As such, we encourage patients to be mindful of the amount of time during the consultation, as this may impact the fees incurred.

For those who hold a Medicare card, a rebate will be available. This rebate is calculated based solely on the time spent with Dr. Aligiannis only, not the time spent with the nursing staff. Additionally, patients who have registered with Dr. Aligiannis through the MyMedicare program will qualify for extra Medicare rebates. It’s important to note that a Medicare rebate will only apply to telephone consultations for patients who have had a face-to-face consultation at our practice within the last 12 months or for those who are registered with Dr. Aligiannis via MyMedicare.

For your convenience, the fees for general medical consultations and specialised services are detailed below. We encourage all patients to reach out to our practice on 90116709 before their visit to verify if any fees will be applicable on the day of their consultation.

We accept various payment methods to ensure that transactions are easy and straightforward. Payments can be made via cash, direct deposit, credit card, debit card, or through the HotDoc app.

While most general medical services are eligible for a Medicare rebate for patients who possess a Medicare card, thereby reducing their out-of-pocket expenses, some services may not be covered by Medicare. These include commercial driving medicals and non-government forms, which will incur a private fee. It’s also important to keep in mind that consultations related to workers’ compensation and third-party claims do not obtain Medicare coverage, and a fee will be charged on the day of the consultation until the employer’s insurance company accepts the claim.
